We have been so happy with our boys instruction/music experience at Eastview Music studio with Mr. Nelson. Our 11 year old son took piano lessons with him for 4+ years before switching to guitar lessons with him, and now our9 year old has had 6+ months of guitar lessons with him and they are both loving it! They look forward to coming each week, and Mr. Nelson always makes it fun for them with picking great duets for them to perform together and by nurturing their interest in the types of music they are interested in (ie blues, etc). Mr. Nelson has always been super flexible with scheduling of their lessons on days/times convenient for us with ever changing schedules with their various activities. We have always found his pricing very reasonable for his dedicated time and expertise and better than any other place around from what I understand from others! We could not be more thrilled with our experience at Eastview Music Studio.

Bret Nelson seems like a very well-trained musican, which is what I was looking for-not just someone who can play piano well himself, but can actually teach and motivate my child to play well. Thank God we found a gifted teacher in Bret. I was really impressed with his ability to teach piano with gentleness, incredible patience, and communicate advanced concepts into smaller, easily-grasped ideas to our girl. Wow, wish I’d found him 5 years ago!
His rates are really fair, he’s punctual, organized, fully present and met my girl at her present level, but continues to challenge her, which is what I really wanted. He actually touches on music theory relevant to each piece she’s playing, which is an unexpected bonus! (I’m actually learning too when I’m there waiting! LOL).
Our girl actually looks forward to practice time and lessons now, which has taken a lot of stress off our family life, from when I was trying to teach her piano myself. Priceless! Bret’s the real deal as a piano teacher. I highly recommend Bret Nelson and Eastview Music Studio to other parents looking for a solid instructor for their kids.
